Who We Are
Broc and Stacey Flores founded Fishweir Brewing Company when they moved to Jacksonville in 2016. After spending many years in great craft beer cities, they wanted to bring the best of all those places to Jacksonville. Broc has been an avid homebrewer for over 10 years, and with the help of their brewer Dan, has developed a wide spectrum of carefully crafted beers to share with the community. By pulling on her years of retail experience, Stacey has crafted a taproom experience that will provide a comfortable neighborhood feel that allows all locals and visitors to stop in and feel at home! We are a family owned and operated brewery and we hope that all of you will come join our family!

MURRAY HILL NEIGHBORHOOD
Beginning in the 1880’s, Murray Hill was originally named the ‘Edgewood Subdivision’ of Jacksonville, though there wasn’t much development other than a few homes and farmhouses. It wasn’t until the Great Fire of 1901, destroying much of downtown Jacksonville, that eventually led to the establishment of Murray Hill in 1906. While the town saw major developments and even had its own mayor, town clerk and councilmen, it struggled financially and was annexed from the city of Jacksonville in 1925. However, the 1930s and 1940s brought significant residential growth, and Edgewood Avenue became a hub for new and booming businesses like Edgewood Bakery, Dreamette Ice Cream Shop and the Murray Hill Theatre. With a rich history spanning over 100 years, today Murray Hill is home to nearly 10,000 residents, diverse architecture, a strong artistic community, bustling coffeehouses and restaurants, and is well on its way to becoming Jacksonville’s next flourishing district.
